It often causes unpleasant odours and may affect the overall cleanliness and comfort of the interior. If not treated properly, mould spores can remain within fabric fibres and interior surfaces, which may allow mould to return over time.

At NT Mobile Car Care, our mould treatment process combines Basic Detailing, hot steam cleaning, and appropriate seat care based on interior material. This approach allows us to clean the interior thoroughly while helping reduce the likelihood of mould returning.

Our Service Process
1. Basic Detailing – Interior cleaning and refresh
We begin by using our Basic Detailing package, as published on our website, to remove general dirt and refresh interior surfaces. This includes vacuuming carpets and seats, wiping dashboard and interior panels, and cleaning commonly used interior areas.

This step helps remove loose contamination and prepares the interior for deeper cleaning, ensuring better effectiveness of the mould treatment process.

2. Deep cleaning with hot steam
Hot steam is applied to interior surfaces to assist with deep cleaning and sanitising, especially in areas where mould may develop or remain trapped. Steam cleaning is particularly useful for reaching fabric fibres, seams, corners, and hard-to-reach interior sections, helping break down contamination while maintaining safe conditions for vehicle occupants.

3. Seat cleaning based on interior material
Fabric seats (cloth interior): Seats and carpets are shampooed using professional extraction equipment to help remove embedded dirt, mould spores, and contaminants trapped within the fibres.

Leather seats: Leather surfaces are cleaned using suitable leather-safe products to remove contamination. A leather conditioner is then applied to help maintain softness and support the longevity of the material.

This combined process helps improve interior cleanliness, reduce unpleasant odours, and support the prevention of mould returning. Keeping the interior dry and well ventilated after treatment will further improve long-term results.

Please note that mould spores are microscopic and not always visible. While the treatment significantly improves the condition of the interior, recurrence may still occur if moisture conditions persist.
